EXPERIENCE

Over the years I have worked with a number of companies in different industries, performing a range of duties with countless responsibilities. Descriptions for every engineering position I have held are below. Also included are additional summaries of my work experience at companies where I held more than one position. The downloadable version of my resumé is abbreviated to summarize only the past 10 years of my work experience.

USFilter
While at USFilter, I held three different positions. The last two overlapped in both time and function due to the need for continuity between the two roles. The result of holding both simultaneously was that communication lag and other inefficiencies were greatly reduced or eliminated.

Manager
USFilter - Lead Coordination Department
11/02 - 04/04
Lead Coordinator for industrial water treatment projects Worldwide. Responsible for receiving and reviewing client Requests For Quotation; meeting with USFilter Director of Sales and Salespeople to develop commercial and technical strategies for securing project orders. Discussed upcoming projects with clients and provided preliminary technical information and budget estimates when requested.

Manager
USFilter - Application Engineering Department
06/01 - 04/04
Application Engineering Manager for industrial water treatment projects Worldwide. Responsible for managing a team of application engineers; budget, staffing, remuneration and discipline; selecting and assigning work, and reviewing proposals and projects for technical accuracy and commercial feasibility. Coordinated inter-departmental activities between Application Engineering and other USFilter departments and organizations. Attended ongoing meetings with clients to meet their project requirements and expectations.

Senior Application Engineer
USFilter - Application Engineering Department
01/01 - 05/01
Application Engineer for heavy industrial water treatment projects Worldwide. Responsible for equipment application and design, cost preparation and analysis, and customer liaison.

GE-Glegg
In 1996 Glegg Water Conditioning was an independent, privately held company with an excellent reputation within the water treatment industry built in the preceding 20 years. The acquisition of Glegg in late 1999 by GE brought about many changes, some good, some not so good. In 2000 I held three different positions for much of the year, gaining valuable experience and sharpening my time management and organizational skills.

Interim Director Of Process Design
GE-Glegg Water Technologies - Process Engineering Department
05/00 - 10/00
Interim Director of Process Design for heavy industrial water treatment Projects Worldwide. Responsible for establishing and maintaining technical standards and guidelines for the design of water treatment process units.

Manager
GE-Glegg Water Technologies - Applications Engineering Department
02/00 - 12/00
Application Engineering Manager for heavy industrial water treatment projects Worldwide. Responsible for managing a team of application engineers and designers; budget, staffing, remuneration and discipline; selecting and assigning work, and reviewing proposals and projects for technical accuracy and commercial feasibility.

Applications Engineer
GE-Glegg Water Technologies - Applications Engineering Department
02/96 - 12/00
Applications Engineer for heavy industrial water treatment projects Worldwide. Responsible for equipment application and design, cost preparation and analysis, and customer liaison.

Project Engineer
Culligan of Canada - Commercial/Industrial Department
01/94 - 01/96
Project and Design Engineer for numerous commercial and industrial water treatment projects throughout Canada and the World. Responsible for product application and design, overseeing equipment procurement and manufacture, and project commissioning.

Ontario Hydro
In 1990 Ontario Hydro was mid-way through the multi-million dollar refurbishment of the reactors at the Pickering 'A' Nuclear Generating Station. Plans were made for a similar refurbishment of the reactors at the Bruce 'A' Nuclear Generating Station. I was hired to work on this new project as my first job following graduation from engineering school. In 1993 the project was cancelled and I was reassigned to work on smaller rehabilitation projects at the Bruce 'A' facility.

Project Engineer
Ontario Hydro - Bruce Rehab Department
05/93 - 07/93
Project Engineer and Project Team Leader for four rehabilitation projects at the Bruce 'A' Nuclear Generating Station. Involved in the 'Phoenix Team' reassessment of all Bruce Rehab projects.

Project Engineer
Ontario Hydro - Bruce Retube Department
08/90 - 4/93
Assistant Project Engineer responsible for design evaluation and approval and project build of several tools and fully-remote systems for the removal phase of the Retubing of CANDU nuclear reactors.
